The Saints In Light Title

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” - Col 1:12-17

Passion, Passion, Passion but enough to do the work?

Today, while writing a response to another post, I was convicted within my spirit about passion and action.  I am passionate about several things and try to stand up for various issues.  But today I began to think, just how much passion is serious and how much is just thought (lip service to myself)?

As an example, I am very pro-life and believe that abortion should not be allowed.  In today's world there is little need to worry about times such as when a mother's life is threatened as I am not sure that would happen, in such a way that our medical technology could not solve it by premature birth.

This post is not about abortion though, it is the fact I have strong feeling about this issue, but how much of that is truly passion if I do not personally get involved in some degree to end this slaughter?  If you are truly passionate about something, shouldn't you be involved in some way?  Is cutting a check for a few bucks to a pro-life organization equal the passion?

The thing I am most passionate about though is the need for the Body of Yeshua ( Jesus if you did not know) to come together and do the works that He did.  I am tired of seeing people all around who are claiming to be a believer, with their lives preoccupied by the things of this world.  It is sad when we have to battle over topics such as  if profanity is wrong in the sight of God or if it is acceptable to go get drunk on the weekends, or if couples should get a divorce because they do not like living together and the list goes on and on.  It seems the focus is more on how close can be live to the edge of sin and still make it to heaven...  It should be, how close can we live to God and still be able to function in this life!  Many suffer now and will suffer far more in the future if the Body does not get it together and do the works Yeshua did.  Just looks at how many need healed let alone, saved!

In short, I guess maybe our passions are not as strong as we believe them to be, if our actions do not equal our passions...

Which political party is Christian?

Simple answer, right up front (this is sounding familiar), none!  Yep, you read that right, there is no “party” that truly supports Christian beliefs.  In my opinion, the Republican and Constitution Parties are the closest, but still do not quite fill my bill on a platform.  That said though, a party does NOT matter, it is the person to be elected!

Parties:

As an example, the Democratic Party believes and stands up for abortion which is clearly against the teachings of the Bible as it is murder with a capital M.  They even push this as far as “late term partial birth abortion”, where all but the head of the baby is birthed as normal then they kill it before the head comes out.  They are so sick as to believe that if the baby’s head is not out, it is not born.

Abortion is not enough, the platform stands up for embryonic stem cell usage to the point of cloning.  This is murder and a massive scale.  I know, people claim that it is needed to combat all kinds of sickness, but that does not justify taking a life to try giving it to another.  Besides the moral issues, there is great work being done with non-embryonic stem cells or even those from umbilical cords, but that is not enough, they must turn this into murder!  How long can it be before people go around hacking other people up for body parts…

Most democratic hopefuls believe in a strong separation of Church in State to a point it was never meant.  They want to take God out of anything public related in any way to the government.  Under this system they force people to check their religious beliefs at the door of any government institution or event.  I find it interesting that the party platform documents calls on the name of God several times, while wanting to hinder religious freedoms.

The Constitution Party has a number of policies to which I do not agree.  I do not agree with capital punishment, nor the elimination of the educational system nor humans services.  It probably does not matter though, with the small numbers of this party, it would be amazing if anyone was elected for many, many, many years to come.

Recently, various government officials from different parties showed their lack of values by, in one form or another, supporting torture.  This is wrong on so many levels.  If this country uses practices of those we oppose, we no longer have a right to say anything!  This country should hold itself to a higher level of morals than those we condemn.

Individuals:

Parties are out, there is no reason to follow party lines, it does nothing but divide! We need to focus on the individual.  It is up to us to give our vote to those that we believe in and not because they have a certain label.   Remember “we the people”, not just a certain party!

Okay, so now we look to the individuals.  How can we responsibly cast a vote and what does it mean?  I believe that when we vote for someone, we stand with them on what we know about them.  Nobody that calls themselves a Christian should ever vote for a person that supports issues the Bible clearly is against, those that would, I have to wonder on just what is their true level of faith.  How can a person that believes the Bible and knows that abortion is an act of murder place their vote for someone that supports killing babies?

Well, you might say “but the person will help our economy or they support health care or they…”.  It is a simple matter, if they support issues such as abortion or any other act that is against Word of God, you should not vote for them, period!

What about if there is no candidate that qualifies?  This has happened to me before and I simple put a “write in” on the ballot for “none of the above”.  Some might think that is silly, but actually is sad because it shows that Christians were not active enough to make sure there was a quality candidate on the ballot.

It is time that Christians take up their responsibility and BE “the salt of the earth”!  I pray that God convicts everyone’s socks off when they go to vote!  If everyone that claims to be a Christian would vote a Christian ballot, this county would be different!  Salt or to be cast on the dung pile, which shall it be?

Abortion....

Abortion: The debate that never should have been!

Yesterday, there was a post in a software developer's forum debating different facets of the so-called "pro-choice" and "pro-life" issues, actually, there were tons of posts in those threads. That is the reason for this post…

Abortion is murder plain and simple! The debate is clearly nothing more than people trying to justify murder based on either their ego, hatred, anger, fear, regret, money, ignorance, or (the worst in my opinion) inconvenience. Everyone tries to change the name of something they want people to accept which is absolutely an affront to your conscience only to make it sound more palatable. A person once told me that anyone can justify anything given enough time and desire. I think people like Hitler have already proven this statement!

There is no debate and never should have been one! The biggest mistake people against abortion ever made was to allow them to make a debate out of it. The second biggest mistake was to allow them change the issue name to "pro-choice". There is no choice, it is murder no matter what you call it!

From the time the fertilization occurs, that is a child and no one has the right to kill the child. It does not matter what you think or how you justify it, the simple fact is, it is murder! It is no different than going down the street and picking someone out and killing them, other than the baby has never done one thing wrong, not a lie, no hatred, nothing, pure innocence and people are paid to perform this task.

If you have murdered one or more of your children, I am truly sorry for you. It is a horrible act and only God can help you, there is forgiveness with God!

If you support murdering babies, not matter what the cause, you need to spend a LOT of time with God because you are clearly out of touch with Him!

MURDER, debating will never change it!!

Presidential Elections..

While no one can or should tell you how you should vote, you need to keep in mind what a vote means.

I have heard many people say that they are voting for a given candidate only because they do not want the another candidate in office. Or they happen to be voting for a candidate merely because they like one or two things they say or points of view they share.

This is all wrong! You should be voting because you are behind the candidate. There is not other reason, it should be because you believe in them and what they will do in office.

In the Bible it refers to a person giving help to another person in the name of God and sharing in their reward. If we share in the good that is done by a person when we support them, does it not make sense that we share in the bad they do which we know they will do? I believe we will, but I do not know to what extent.

All I do know is that we should be very careful when voting. Do you think it is right to vote for someone who you know will do bad things all to justify it in the belief that they will do more good than bad?

Do we pick someone to vote for simply because they promise to do things we like in one or two areas and ignore what they do in others?

Example, are you willing to vote for someone because they will promise more jobs, better economy or better health care and ignore their public pro stance on abortion? Is there anything a candidate can promise that justifies voting for someone that believes and will do all in their power that people should be allowed to murder babies up to birth?

What about someone that you know is corrupt? Is there anything they could promise you that would make you vote for them if you cannot trust them?

What can a candidate promise to get your vote if the will trample on your religious freedoms and not allow you to express your faith in public places such as government, schools, work places, etc?

Whatever your stance on the candidates we have to choose from, you need to think of all the bad things you are going to cast your vote for not just the good. It does not matter what the person next door nor what your family think, you know right from wrong and you need vote what is right.

My vote will be as usual, None of the Above. I personally do not believe that any candidate has shown themselves worthy to be in office. If you strip away what you think they have done for you or to you, what have you left?

Pray, I know God will never tell you to vote for a murderer nor one that supports it!
